Jalena Hay was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to New York City to study Drawing and Printmaking at Pratt Institute. During her time at Pratt, she had the privilege of studying under the mentorship of acclaimed artists like Thomas Bosket and Jennifer Melby. Her passion for Printmaking led her to an intensive lithography course in Amsterdam. 

Jalena channeled her intricate drawing abilities into the realm of textile design, collaborating with major global corporations. Her last company was with J.Crew, where she drew captivating patterns for Women's, Men's, and Kid's clothing being worn worldwide. In her ongoing artistic journey, Jalena specializes in creating detailed drawings on paper using various mediums such as Pen, Ink, Gouache, and Colored Pencil. Jalena currently shows her work throughout New York. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
